Lyrica is an ensemble of professional female singers available to sing individually or in small or large groups at concerts, weddings, receptions and other events. Lyrica is directed by Proms soloist Elizabeth Glen GGSM. Lyrica is a member of the Bristol Guild of Professional Wedding Services. Elizabeth Glen is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians.
Elizabeth, Rhiannon and Beth were featured in the programme "Wedding Rites", broadcast recently on BBC4 and BBC2, providing music for the ceremony, blessing and reception of the featured wedding couple at their ceremony at St Audrie's Park, West Quantoxhead. The programme broadcast Lyrica singing "Kissing You" for the entrance of the bride, and "Joyful, Joyful" and "Amazing Grace" for the blessing. They were also shown providing the music for the drinks reception in the garden.
Elizabeth was guest soloist for "The Avon and Somerset Constabulary Male Voice Choir" on Saturday 19th April.
A review of the concert stated "What can I say that would do justice to such a wonderful, polished, powerful soprano voice. Wow!"
Listen to Lyrica sing classic jazz favourites from the great composers of the 1930's -1950', whilst enjoying a traditional English Cream Tea.Accompanied by pianist and arranger Brian Field, we will be featuring songs from our new CD "Blue Skies" as well as other songs by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, George and Ira Gershwin. This will be a pleasant way to escape the Bank Holiday Monday traffic and weather!
